Senior Media Strategist

Our client is a dynamic, medium-sized agency committed to delivering innovative marketing solutions. We are currently seeking a Senior Media Strategist to build and lead their media practice. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for media strategy and a track record of building successful media departments from the ground up.

    1. Build and Lead the Media Practice: Establish and manage a new media department, including hiring and training a skilled team.

    2. Develop Comprehensive Media Strategies: Create and implement media strategies that align with client objectives and the agency's creative vision, including identifying and securing the tech and tools necessary to execute the plan.

    3. Media Planning and Buying: Oversee the planning, negotiation, and buying of media across various platforms (digital, print, TV, radio, etc.).

    4. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize data analytics to measure campaign performance, generate insights, and optimize media strategies.

    5. Client Management: Work closely with clients to understand their needs, present media strategies, and maintain strong, ongoing relationships.

    6. Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of the latest media trends and technologies, integrating innovative solutions into media practices.

    7. Budget Management: Manage media budgets effectively, ensuring the best ROI for clients and the agency.

    8. Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other departments (creative, digital, marketing) to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach.

    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Communications, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.

    • Minimum of 7 years of experience in media strategy, planning, and buying, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.

    • Proven track record of building or significantly growing a media department.

    • Strong understanding of all media channels, including digital and traditional media.

    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.

    • Proficient in media planning tools and software.

    • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.

    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
