About Our Client: Our client is a full-service creative agency based in Seattle. They are currently seeking a talented and visionary Cinematographer/DP to join their team on a part-time contract basis.

Job Description: The Cinematographer/DP will be responsible for managing the visual aspects of filming. The successful candidate will work closely with the director to create the visual style of the film or video content. This role requires a creative eye, technical expertise, and the ability to make artistic decisions regarding lighting, shot selection, and camera movement.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the director and other creative team members to interpret the script and make it visually compelling.

  • Design and execute lighting plans that enhance the mood and dynamics of the scene.

  • Operate cameras during filming and oversee the selection of other cameras and equipment.

  • Supervise the camera crew to ensure all technical needs are met.

  • Maintain the artistic integrity of the film or digital content as envisioned by the director.

  • Engage in post-production processes to advise on the final visual style of the project.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Cinematographer or in a similar role in film or television.

  • Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of visual work.

  • Excellent understanding of lighting, shot composition, color, and camera techniques.

  • Proficient with digital film cameras and related equipment.

  • Strong communication and leadership skills.

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

  • Creative mindset and a keen eye for detail.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Film Studies, Cinematography, or related field is preferred.
