Production Artist

Vicarious, a talent agency dedicated to representing emerging and established creatives, is looking to hire production artists of all levels! The production artist is responsible for creating and editing graphics and images for a variety of media, including the internet, print, and television. They may be required to work with text, create logos, and develop layout designs. The production artist must be able to meet tight deadlines and work well under pressure. Excellent computer skills are essential. Knowledge of relevant software applications is necessary, including Photoshop and Illustrator. The production artist must also have a working knowledge of HTML and Dreamweaver.

• Responsibilities

  1. Work closely with art directors, graphic designers, and web developers

  2. Prep final files to supply specifications for various print and digital formats

  3. Reformat supplied artwork and photos to project specifications

  4. Create PDFs for creative and client review

  5. Retouch, clip paths, and make adjustments to image files

  6. Collect and store final artwork for potential use in future campaigns

  7. Produce content on tight deadlines

• Qualifications

  1. Keen attention to detail

  2. Strong typesetting, layout, photo editing, and color editing skills

  3. Proficiency in using design tools like Adobe Creative Cloud

  4. Knowledge of web development languages like JavaScript and HTML

  5. Strong time management and organizational skills

  6. Ability to work under tight deadlines

  7. Excellent communication skills

  8. The ability to work collaboratively and implement feedback quickly and accurately

  9. Be a team player

​​​​We work with corporate and agency clients, and roles could be from a few hours on up to full-time permanent.

Compensation is based on experience, and we provide healthcare benefits. There’s an opportunity for a 401(k) after 6 months.
